We are looking for qualified counsellors to join the ACT Service Team, delivering virtual therapy to children and young people across Britain

ACT is a new Barnardo's service that is positioned within the Mental Health and Trauma Services (NWMHT) Delivery Platform and will have a base in Central Lancashire.

It will work with services across Britain to offer online virtual therapy to children and young people aged approx. 11-18 years. The aim of the ACT Service is to operate in a flexible and responsive way to meet peaks and demands in referrals to services, by utilising a team of qualified therapists and experienced mental health practitioners offering a range of virtual interventions, maintaining the same quality service delivery as the core Barnardo's service.

ACT team members will work flexibly using a hybrid model of Barnardo's office and home-based delivery of therapy sessions, so therapist applicants need to be able and willing to travel to various offices including the Preston base.

**Qualified Therapist Applicants should**:

- be qualified to minimum Diploma level in CBT, Integrative counselling or solution focussed therapy with Membership of relevant professional body e.g. BACP, HCPC
- have experience of delivering counselling interventions with children and young people with mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing needs.
- have proven that they have adapted their skills and are competent and able to work safely and effectively virtually using a range of online and web-based platforms, mindful of the additional safeguarding and GDPR implications.
- Be able to manage and prioritise their own caseload and provide personalised support to children and young people using evidence-based Routine Outcome Measures.
- Be able to provide a culturally sensitive service, by supporting people from all backgrounds and communities, respecting children and young people's lifestyles and diversity.
