The successful applicant will have a proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing principles and methods, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and promoting employee development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and evaluate machine and labor resources to ensure continuous productivity and minimal downtime
- Plan and organize production schedules to meet business objectives
- Distribute manpower effectively to optimize efficiency
- Maintain cost-effective production processes, minimize overtime spend, and drive operational excellence
- Oversee the production process, ensuring adherence to required processes and quality controls
- Review departmental performance against Action Plans and KPIs
- Lead and motivate a large multi-functional team, providing guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management role
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and methods, with examples of implementation
- Able to lead, motivate, and influence large teams to drive business outcomes
- Excellent project management skills, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions
- Successful track record of training employees in productivity and safety best practices
We estimate the salary for this position to be around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
