Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Broking Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive broking strategy to drive business growth, enhance client satisfaction, and ensure profitability within the broking division.
- Cultivate Insurer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with insurers, negotiating competitive terms to secure the best deals for clients.
- Trading and Negotiation: Actively engage in trading, leveraging your technical expertise and market insights to negotiate and close deals for renewals and new business.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Play a crucial role in setting the tone, mentoring brokers, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to guide strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with Appointed Representatives to understand and meet the insurance needs of their clients, providing expert advice to exceed expectations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on complex risk scenarios and insurance solutions, using your strong technical knowledge to support ARs, clients, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Experience: Extensive experience in a senior broking placement role within the commercial insurance sector, preferably with a focus on mid-market or corporate risks.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and market practices.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and sustain high-level relationships with both insurers and clients.
- Negotiation and Trading: Exceptional negotiation and trading skills, with a successful track record of closing deals.
- Strategic Mindset: Strategic mindset with the capability to develop and execute effective broking strategies.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Qualifications: Professional qualifications such as ACII or equivalent are highly desirable.
