Job Description

Class 1 Personnel is currently working with a national client to recruit a HGV Driver for their site in Grangemouth, Falkirk. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering customers' products to the required premises, ensuring exceptional customer service as part of a multi-drop delivery route.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers' premises, treating their freight as if it were their own.
  • Customer Service: The driver will ensure that all customers receive exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A valid HGV licence, CPC card, and Tacho Card are required.
  • Licence Eligibility: The driver must hold a full driving licence with HGV2 eligibility.
  • Licence Requirements: The driver must have a maximum of 6 points on their licence and no bans.
Main Job Description
  • Driving: The driver will drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner, always ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
  • Daily Checks: The driver will undertake all daily checks, ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork is completed.
  • Procedures and Policies: The driver will always observe procedures and policies.
  • Routing: The driver will manage their routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved.
  • Equipment and PPE: The driver will ensure that the correct equipment and PPE are in good order and always used.
  • Customer Issues: The driver will deal with any customer issues in a polite and effective manner.
Ideal Qualities
  • Attention to Detail: The driver should have a good attention to detail.
  • Physical Fitness: The driver should have a good level of physical fitness.
  • Reliability and Time Keeping: The driver should be reliable and have good time keeping skills.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience with deliveries is preferred.
