About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Transactional Tax team at Travers Smith. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in advising clients on a broad range of tax matters, including M&A, Finance, and Real Estate transactions.

With a focus on Real Estate Tax, you will have the opportunity to work on complex transactions and develop your expertise in this area. Your ability to manage matters with light touch supervision and advise on tax aspects of private M&A transactions will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on tax matters related to M&A, Finance, and Real Estate transactions
  • Managing matters with light touch supervision
  • Advising on tax aspects of private M&A transactions
  • Providing tax advisory work to corporate clients
  • Advising on financing transactions, real estate transactions, restructurings, and management equity incentives
  • Providing tax advisory work on IPOs and other fundraisings and capital market transactions
Person Specification
  • Outstanding academic record
  • UK Qualified Solicitor (preferably with experience at a City law firm)
  • Experience in transactional tax (M&A, Finance, and Real Estate), commensurate with PQE level
  • Substantive Real Estate Tax experience would be seen as an advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate proactivity and good transaction management
  • Team player who thrives working within a collegiate environment
  • Willingness to show commitment and engagement to the firm's culture
