L3Harris in Portchester is a leading provider of engineering design services for a wide range of unmanned marine vehicles with military and commercial applications.

We are seeking an experienced Design Authority to lead our engineering activities for a major customer project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all engineering activities, including design, and will work closely with sub-contracts, Project Managers, and technical managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Design Authority for a major customer project, managing all engineering activities, including design.
  • Liaise with sub-contracts, Project Managers, and technical managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide strategic advice on engineering requirements to deliver the project technically.

Requirements:

  • Substantial prior related experience working on complex engineering projects.
  • Extensive experience delivering multi-disciplined projects comprising electrical, mechanical, software, and specialist engineering analysis.
  • Ability to understand the specialist needs of each engineering discipline and advise strategically on engineering requirements.
