At Mercer, we're seeking talented individuals to join our team as Graduate Actuaries. As a key member of our consulting team, you'll work closely with senior actuaries and consultants to provide expert advice to defined benefit pension scheme trustees and corporate sponsors.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and deliver customized advice and solutions to clients, working alongside our investment colleagues to assist with designing strategies that help our clients manage pensions risk.
  • Support senior actuaries and consultants in providing advice to clients on scheme funding, individual benefits, risk management, and more.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for our clients and their employees, including supporting them on their journey to their end game.

  • You'll be supported through the actuarial exams in order to become a qualified actuary.
What We're Looking For:
  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree or be on track to achieve this. If your degree discipline is not mathematics-based, a minimum of a grade A mathematics at A level (or equivalent) will be required.
  • English and Mathematics GCSE (Minimum Grade 4).
  • Right to Work in the UK (we are unable to provide Visa sponsorship for this role).

We're looking for individuals who can think critically and problem-solve a wide variety of issues, with analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative. You should be able to communicate effectively and develop strong working relationships, showing initiative and enjoying working in a dynamic team environment. Natural proactivity and organisational, presentational, and project management skills with good attention to detail are also essential.
