About Gower College Swansea:
Gower College Swansea is a leading educational institution in Wales, renowned for its high-quality teaching and learning. The Role:
The college is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join its excellent lecturing staff as a Numeracy Lecturer. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering numeracy and curriculum development, with excellent organisational skills, enthusiasm, and tenacity. They will be able to work well with a range of abilities and be flexible and innovative in their approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work with the 'Multiply' team to plan, prepare, and deliver a range of numeracy courses (accredited/non-accredited) and ensure excellence in teaching and learning.
- Effectively monitor and track learner progress, creating a positive environment to enable all learners to reach their full potential in terms of academic, social, and personal development.
- Applicants will have a commitment to continuous improvement, contribute effectively to curriculum development, extracurricular activity, and assist with the planning and marketing of courses.
- To keep up to date with examination board developments within the subject area.
About You:
- Possess a suitable Numeracy/Mathematics degree and a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
- The ability to effectively deliver and assess.
- A very confident communicator and committed individual who can engage and inspire learners with varying degrees of confidence with mathematics.
- The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of learners.
