The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our esteemed lecturing staff as a Numeracy Lecturer. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering numeracy and curriculum development, with excellent organisational skills, enthusiasm, and tenacity. The ability to work well with a range of abilities is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the 'Multiply' team to plan, prepare, and deliver a range of numeracy courses, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning.
- Effectively monitor and track learner progress, creating a positive environment to enable all learners to reach their full potential.
- Contribute to curriculum development, extracurricular activity, and assist with the planning and marketing of courses.
- Stay up-to-date with examination board developments within the subject area.
- Possess a suitable Numeracy/Mathematics degree and a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
- Have the ability to effectively deliver and assess.
- Be a confident communicator and committed individual who can engage and inspire learners with varying degrees of confidence with mathematics.
- Be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of learners.
- 37 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period.
- A Teacher's Pension Scheme with an average employer contribution of 23%.
- 2 staff well-being days.
