The successful candidate will be working in our department primarily consisting of five orthoptists, two paediatric ophthalmologist/motility and nystagmus specialists, and we work closely with optometrists and ophthalmologists from other specialties, junior doctors, and outpatient departments across the trust.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including pension scheme, health insurance, and paid annual leave.

Main Duties
The post holder will have to travel between hospital sites and community clinics; a free bus service is available to staff between Winchester and Basingstoke Hospital. The successful candidate will be keen to develop their knowledge and skills through a varied caseload, which will include core orthoptic, adult ocular motility, and paediatric clinics linked with the ophthalmologist. There are also refraction clinics linked to the optometrist and orthoptic-led sessions using the plus optics.
