About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 15 and overseeing financial audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing financial guidance for the strategy and development of delivery programmes.
  • Interface with Sector finance team.
  • Drive consistency across the business unit and contracts therein.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, offering hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • Experience in financial management at FD level from a civil engineering / main contractor capacity.
  • Demonstratable experience as a financial leader with the drive, ambition and gravitas to lead a high-performing team.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Experience in multisite project environment.

Candidates must also hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent.
