Culinary Opportunities with ASA Recruitment

We are seeking skilled and dedicated culinary professionals to join our team of experienced cooks and chefs across various settings in Edinburgh.

As a culinary professional with ASA Recruitment, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from hotels to care homes, offering a variety of environments to showcase your skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook well-balanced meals that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, and other tasks as required.
  • Cook food in various utensils and grillers, using your expertise to create delicious and nutritious meals.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders when necessary, ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Proven experience as a cook or chef, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality culinary services.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements, with the ability to create menus that cater to diverse needs.
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware, with a strong understanding of kitchen equipment and safety protocols.
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly and vulnerable populations.
  • Hold a valid Food Hygiene and Food Allergen Certificate, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling protocols.
  • CV covering 5 years of work history, with a strong focus on culinary experience and achievements.
