At ASA Recruitment, we are seeking experienced and dedicated culinary professionals to join our roster of professionals across various settings in Edinburgh.

We work with a diverse range of clients, from hotels to care homes, offering opportunities in multiple environments.

Responsibilities:

  • To prepare and cook well-balanced meals
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
  • Cook food in various utensils and grillers.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitised kitchen environment.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Monitor stock and place orders when necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Proven experience as a cook / Chef
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
  • Hold a valid Food Hygiene and Food Allergen Certificate
  • CV covering 5 years work history
