End User Compute Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled End User Compute Architect to join our team at REED Specialist Recruitment. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing end user compute services that meet the needs of our clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical specialist role in the development of staff in end user compute services
  • Lead ad hoc specialist teams of technical staff focused on project-led service development activity, providing effective supervision and technical support
  • Proactively monitor, maintain, test, and enhance the resilience of company-managed desktop and mobile device management services, in cooperation with technical and customer support teams
  • Lead on the design, testing, and transition into operational use of all new and enhanced services
  • Manage and coordinate defined evaluation and investigation activity aimed at supporting and developing the integration and adoption of corporate-approved and centrally managed technology platforms and associated configurations
  • Initiate and execute centralized service management responsibilities, service performance monitoring, design of software and operating system deployment methods
  • Maintain, manage, and develop the company endpoint management platforms, endpoint security, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Research, develop, promote, and support endpoint management and deployment technologies
  • Automate processes including application deployments and management using major scripting languages
  • Provide a technical consultancy and support service to ICT support staff
  • Manage and develop the secure configuration and deployment of tailored policies
  • Represent as a technical liaison with maintenance and service providers to resolve operational problems and contribute to cyclical customer-supplier reviews
  • Function as the primary technical resource for internal stakeholder engagements
  • Create technical content and guidance documentation
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant subject area
  • Experience in the creation of automated processes to assist with OS deployments, patch management, software distribution, and policy configurations in a networked desktop environment and/or mobile deployment
  • Demonstrable experience in at least three of the following areas: Cloud, Mobile Device Management technologies, MECM configuration, Desktop as a Service, and/or VDI solutions
  • Experience of managing Endpoint Protection Platforms, scripting experience, and supporting and developing desktop and mobile technologies and their associated application profiles
  • Evidence of End User Compute service design, testing, operational delivery, and service monitoring
