Job Summary

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and effective care to children and their families in the Paediatric Emergency Department. This will include:

  • Assessing and managing patients with a range of paediatric conditions
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Providing education and support to junior staff
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
  • Qualified RSCN and/or RN with extensive ED experience
  • Post-graduate AED Course or working towards one
  • 998 or equivalent
  • Proven paediatric experience in ED
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Ability to provide high-standard holistic family-centred care
