Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and organised SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team of support staff at Special Schools in Gillingham and Rochester. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing behaviour management programmes, demonstrating good communication skills, and ensuring the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe working environment. Additionally, they will provide admin support, complete records for pupils' learning, behaviour management, child protection, etc., as directed.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a right to work in the UK, satisfactory references covering the last 2 years, an Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child & Adult) on the Update Service or willingness to pay and apply for a new one. GCSE English and Mathematics to Grade C+ (or equivalent) is essential, while a Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable. You should also have experience working with children with SEND within an educational setting or similar, minimum of 3 months of experience, good Literacy, Numeracy, and IT skills.
