Psychiatric Care Leader

Job Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess referrals, undertake mental state examinations, and develop treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
- Assess referrals, undertake mental state examinations, and diagnose and treat patients in accordance with the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings, and attend hearings as necessary.
- Participate in the telephone Second on-call rota to ensure continuity of care.
We offer a competitive salary up to £160,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes up to 30 days annual leave entitlement, study budget, and in-house CPD/peer group program.
The ideal candidate will be a fully GMC-registered MBBS (or equivalent) qualified professional with Section 12 and AC Status, extensive experience in adult psychiatry, and knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.
