Anderselite is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, clients, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Health and Safety Advisors to ensure effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Develop and maintain a culture of compliance with OHSAS 18001 obligations, health and safety legislation, and minimum health and safety standards.
- Audit and Inspection: Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Induction and Training: Establish a system for site induction briefings and ensure that all personnel receive regular updates on site hazards and conditions.
- Investigation and Learning: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and accidents, and implement effective learning from events to prevent reoccurrence.
- Initiatives and Best Practices: Introduce initiatives to improve health and safety standards, and identify, promote, and implement best practices in health and safety management.
- Tender and Pre-Qualification Support: Participate in supporting the business with tenders and pre-qualification questionnaires, as designated by the Senior Safety Manager or Preconstruction Team.
- Supply Chain Management: Establish effective relationships with the supply chain to ensure continuous improvement in delivering safety solutions.
- Negotiation and Communication: Lead negotiations to reach the best solution for health and safety issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Inspection and Assessment: Ensure a schedule of weekly health and safety inspections is established and monitored, including operational staff, senior management, and support services.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in health and safety management, with experience in leading teams and implementing health and safety policies and procedures. You will also need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
