We are seeking an experienced Financial Assistant to join our team at Anderson Knight. As a key member of our accounts payable team, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for approving new suppliers, reviewing supplier statements, and resolving any invoice or payment issues. You will also create the supplier payment file for the monthly supplier payment run and prioritize payments based on due dates.

You will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work under pressure, and have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and Outlook. A good understanding of VAT and double entry bookkeeping is also essential.

As a Financial Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate core organizational competencies
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • Competent IT skills, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Understanding of fundamentals of VAT and double entry bookkeeping
  • Ability to discuss financial information with non-finance professionals
Working Conditions

This is a remote role based in the central belt of Scotland, allowing you to work from home and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
