Transformative Maternity Education Role

We are seeking an exceptional senior midwife to join our dynamic education team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in teaching clinical skills, competency assessments, and management experience. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering maternity clinical and emergency skills training programs, ensuring that all midwifery and maternity support workers (MSWs) receive high-quality education and training.

As a valued member of our team, you will benefit from a competitive salary package, including £54,320 to £60,981 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of HCAS. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver maternity clinical and emergency skills training programs
  • Ensure all MSWs receive high-quality education and training
  • Facilitate effective team working and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical leads, Health Roster, and other stakeholders

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of standards, policies, and guidelines related to medical devices and participate in audit, review, and evaluation of the service. Your expertise will help shape the future of maternity education and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A senior practicing midwife with evidence of practice in all areas of midwifery
  • Evidence of post-registration education and teaching qualifications
  • Degree-level or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics Qualification
  • NLS Instructor Status

You will also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
