Catch22 is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Substance Misuse Practitioner Apprentice to join our Surrey Young Persons Substance Misuse Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one support to young people and their families, as well as delivering targeted education and harm reduction sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with young people and their families to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Deliver high-quality education and harm reduction sessions, utilizing a harm reduction approach that prioritizes the needs and well-being of service users.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive and holistic support service, ensuring that young people receive the support they need to achieve their goals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with best practice and meet the needs of service users.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in substance misuse and youth support work.
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy, evidenced by GCSEs in Math's and English at grade 4/C or higher.
- Ability to demonstrate a desire to work with young people and understand the responsibilities regarding safeguarding.
- Excellent engagement skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young people.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adopt a flexible approach to all aspects of work.
- Problem-solving skills and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Good ICT skills, with the ability to use technology to support service delivery and communication.
