HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring repairs are carried out according to Volvo's Standards.

You will work on a range of systems, including alternative fuels such as LNG, hybrid, and Full electric vehicles. Don't worry if you don't have experience with these alternative systems - we provide a training path to help you develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on HGVs according to Volvo's Standards
  • Work on alternative fuel systems, including LNG, hybrid, and Full electric vehicles
  • Develop your skills through our training program

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds, an NVQ3 or equivalent qualification
  • Completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry
  • Basic knowledge of computer software packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
