Job Overview

Job Title: LGV Mechanic

Company: Blue Arrow - Glasgow

Job Type: Temporary

Contract Length: Approximately 6 weeks

Pay Rate: £15.95 per hour


Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist the Fleet, Waste & Infrastructure team in providing a high-quality service by supervising the inspection, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of a range of heavy vehicles. This will involve working closely with the team to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, and that any issues are promptly identified and resolved.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the inspection, servicing, and repair of heavy vehicles
  • Work closely with the Fleet, Waste & Infrastructure team to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards
  • Identify and diagnose faults in heavy vehicles
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure optimal vehicle performance
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an LGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician
  • Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid LGV license
