Daytime Animal Health Specialist

Southampton, Southampton, United Kingdom CVS Group Plc Full time

At CVS Group Plc, we are committed to delivering exceptional animal care and providing a supportive environment for our team members.

We have developed a new role within our veterinary hospital that offers the perfect blend of clinical freedom and flexibility. As a Daytime Animal Health Specialist, you will be part of a large and supportive team of vets and nurses who work together to deliver the highest standards of patient care.

The role involves working as part of a 24/7 service, with some overnight shifts required. These shifts are typically 2 weeknights per month and 1 x 24-hour weekend shift per month. You will receive an additional duty allowance for these hours on top of your base salary.

We are happy to consider part-time shift patterns, which would reduce the number of overnight shifts. However, some overnight work is still required.

The case load for overnight shifts is manageable, with an average of 2-3 clients seen per night. These cases can range from medical consultations to full surgical procedures.

The New Forest National Park and Solent area offer excellent recreational opportunities, including equestrian activities, cycling, sailing, and walking. The local area also boasts beautiful beaches, ancient woodlands, and wildlife. With international airports nearby, you'll have easy access to Europe and beyond.

We have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring our team members have the skills and knowledge they need to deliver exceptional care. Our team includes multiple certificate and diploma holders, who work together to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients.
