SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Pro1 Education is committed to delivering exceptional educational support, empowering every child to reach their full potential. We are seeking an experienced SEND practitioner to join a highly rated school in Lichfield, supporting a student with ADHD and challenging behaviour. This is a fixed-term contract for the right candidate, with the potential to extend into the next academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to a student with ADHD, ensuring they access the curriculum and achieve their academic goals.
  • Assist in implementing the student's individual education plan, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Support the student with daily tasks and activities, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to create a supportive and engaging learning space.
  • Develop and maintain a patient and empathetic approach, addressing the student's emotional and behavioural needs.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working within a UK educational setting
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3 preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SEND within education
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children
