Job Title: Divisional Clinical Director Specialist Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Clinical Director to lead our Specialist Division, encompassing Forensic Services, Learning Disability & Autism Services, Early Intervention, Perinatal, and Children & Young People's Mental Health.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for the division, ensuring high-quality care and outcomes for the local population.
  • Develop and implement clinical care pathways that align with national and local strategies, and drive performance and clinical outcomes.
  • Appoint and manage Associate Clinical Directors and Professional Leads, fostering clinical leadership across services.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and Divisional Director for Nursing and Quality to drive service development and improvement.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance, and benchmarking within the division.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Acute Hospitals, and Sustainability & Transformation Partnerships.
  • Lead the development of research and audit strategies, and implementation plans within services.
Requirements:
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent professional qualification at Consultant level.
  • Management qualification or equivalent level of experience.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of clinical or professional leadership roles within services.
  • Good understanding of change management.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders in service redesign.
Salary and Benefits:

£105,504 to £139,882 a year plus £25,000 responsibility allowance.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
