Kent County Council is seeking a skilled Street Lighting Technician to join our Highways and Transportation team. As a key member of our street lighting team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe use of our highway network.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and respond to reported faults and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work closely with our street lighting contractor to diagnose and repair faults.
- Monitor and maintain our central management system to detect and prevent faults.
- Collaborate with our Planned Works Team Leader and street lighting Engineers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Develop and maintain accurate asset information in our Works and Asset Management system.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and high level of computer literacy.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload, work well in a team environment, and operate with minimum supervision.
- Methodical approach and ability to work to tight deadlines.
