About the Role:

Solus Accident Repair Centres is seeking a skilled Motor Engineer to join our team in a Field Base role. As a Motor Engineer, you will be responsible for preserving consistency and delivering exceptional customer service across our market-leading business and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct motor inspections and deal with all aspects of both insured and third-party motor claims.
  • Use state-of-the-art technology to receive and audit estimates prior to authorizing repairs to our Approved Repairer Network and Customer Nominated Repairers.
  • Monitor the performance of Solus sites and approved repairers, recognizing potential areas of improvement and building relationships.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Member of either IMI, IRTE, ATA, or VDA, or working towards (or willing to do so).
  • Motor claims knowledge, including a basic understanding of insurance principles.
  • Good working knowledge of computerized damage estimating systems, including Audatex.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Positive and self-confident approach when dealing with customers.
  • Empathy, tact, assertiveness, and diplomacy when talking to customers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and use own initiative when necessary.
  • PC literate with good administrative skills.
  • Ability to take on increased ownership and responsibility when necessary.
