About the Role

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to lead the Old Age Psychiatry Liaison team in the Bridgend County Borough area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Old Age Psychiatry Liaison team in providing mental health services for older adults in residential and nursing care facilities.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide clinical expertise and leadership.
  • Contribute to educational provision for trainee medical staff and undergraduate medical students.
  • Develop and implement secondary care and treatment plans in conjunction with care homes and acute hospital sites.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  • On Specialist Register for Old Age Psychiatry or within six months of the anticipated CCT/CESR date.
  • Approved Clinician approval or in a position to achieve it.
