**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Support Specialist to join our team at Gregory Distribution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our fleet operations by ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role involves booking out time for each job, completing relevant paperwork, and providing support to the Fleet Workshop office staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Booking out time for each job and submitting relevant paperwork
  • Ensuring best practice is employed in relation to component replacement, repair duration, and document completion
  • Providing support and assistance to the Fleet Workshop office staff to meet and surpass agreed targets
  • Taking control of loaded brake tests requirements, including vehicle trailer collections and facilitating loading vehicles
  • Carrying out minor defect repairs and component replacements
  • Organizing workshop parking to ensure safe operational areas
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace environment
  • Following company health and safety policy at all times

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • UK Class 1 CE Licence
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Previous hands-on experience in defect rectification, working with vehicles daily, and knowledge of vehicle systems
  • Counterbalance forklift licence advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and meet deadlines

About Us

Gregory Distribution offers a competitive salary for this role, estimated to be around £36,000 per annum based on 45 hours per week. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate, which equates to £23.54 per hour. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30, with opportunities for overtime. Additional benefits include:
