The Role

Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of graphics and gaming technology?

As a member of our innovative graphics research team at Arm Limited, you will have the opportunity to contribute to breakthroughs in the industry and make a real impact on the performance of games and applications on billions of Arm-based devices.

This role is part of the growing Client Ecosystem & Engineering team, responsible for enabling the best possible graphics and gaming applications on Arm-based smartphones, Chromebooks, laptops, and 2-in-1 devices.

We are looking for a skilled software engineer with a strong background in computer graphics and video games programming, who is eager to explore the full software stack and underlying hardware and processor architecture.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the team is to analyze gaming and graphics workloads on tomorrow's smartphones, identifying performance bottlenecks and novel graphics techniques. The results of these investigations help developers build better software and tools for our GPUs. The team also performs extensive research into trending techniques, such as GPU Driven rendering, pushing the state of the art forward.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Experience in using a modern graphics API
  • Good communication skills
  • University degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • Experience with debugging and profiling
