About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Functional Safety to join our team at Forseven. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our Functional Safety and other engineering colleagues to perform various analyses and prepare documentation in accordance with ISO 26262.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Work Products: You will be responsible for delivering work products specified within the Functional Safety Plan in accordance with our company processes.
  • Create Safety Documents: You will create Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARAs), Safety Concepts, Safety Requirements, Test Specifications, and other relevant documents/analyses.
  • Perform Confirmation Reviews: You will perform Confirmation Reviews, where appropriate, to ensure that our safety standards are met.
  • Attend Design Reviews: You will attend sub-system design reviews as necessary to resolve functional safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers: You will attend meetings with suppliers and Technical Partners as required, ensuring they are delivering in accordance with their Development Interface Agreement (DIA).
  • Perform System Reviews: You will perform system review, vehicle integration, verification & validation activities including Safety Goal Validation and other tests throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support Junior Team Members: You will support junior team members in their roles and provide guidance and mentorship as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: You must have a Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic or Automotive Engineering related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge: You must have knowledge of the structure and key concepts of ISO 26262, as well as Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), FMEA, and/or Fault Tree Analyses.
  • Skills: You must be articulate, self-motivated, and keen to learn, with a dynamic and pro-active attitude to problem solving.
  • Passion: You must be passionate about vehicle functional safety and aware of the current automotive trends.
