About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Director of Asset and Sustainability. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our property portfolio and ensuring that our assets are managed in a sustainable and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of our property strategy, ensuring that our assets are optimized for maximum value and sustainability.
- Oversee the management of our property portfolio, including the development and implementation of property compliance plans.
- Collaborate with our teams to ensure that our properties are maintained to the highest standards and that our customers receive excellent service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure that our property operations are commercially sound and that we are achieving value for money.
Requirements
- Recognized property-related qualification or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Significant experience in Health and Safety, CDM, Building Safety, Fire Safety, and Property Compliance.
- Significant knowledge of the social housing sector, property-related challenges, and social housing regulation.
- Extensive relevant experience in a senior property role, with responsibility for a complex property portfolio, colleagues, and managing significant budgets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review complex data and make it relatable to non-technical colleagues.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to deliver a great service.
Desirable Qualifications
- Commercial management background.
- Understanding of other property-related functions, including property services.
- Professional qualification in a property/building-related specialism (e.g. MCIOB, MCABE, MRICS, MICE).
- Recognized Health and Safety qualification.
