Senior Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a key leadership role within the contracting section of the finance department, working closely with Associate Directors of Finance to manage all key contractual relationships for the Trust.
The post holder will have lead responsibility over the management of our contracts with our subsidiary companies, including facilities management, procurement, and pharmacy services. As a senior member of the finance team, the post holder will contribute towards these objectives.
Main Responsibilities- Responsible for the management of outsourced contracts between the Trust and the subsidiary companies.
- A lead role in the management of the Trust property portfolio.
- Full Professional Accountancy qualification (CCAB or CIMA qualified).
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
- Postgraduate qualification to Masters level or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in finance post-qualification and at a senior level.
- Extensive experience in the use of computerised ledger systems, preferably Oracle Financials.
- Experience of spreadsheet, database, and word-processing packages.
- Ability to inspire confidence and develop highly effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders inside and outside of the finance team.
- Ability to present highly complex financial and non-financial information, including the delivery of formal presentations and leading financial/contractual discussions at meetings.
- Knowledge of accounting concepts, conventions, policies, and procedures and the requirements of the NHS financial regime and the legislative framework within which it operates.
- Experience of supervising and leading staff, with knowledge including the techniques required to lead, develop, and maximise performance of staff.
