About the Role

Hays Accounts and Finance is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to support the Finance team in a global manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed sales analysis.
  2. Conduct variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
  3. Manage capex project spend control and vendor tooling spend analysis.
  4. Support VAT return preparation and Making Tax Digital.
  5. Prepare statutory accounts and disclosure notes.
  6. Approve payroll and ad hoc bank payments.
  7. Act as finance point of contact for HMRC imports and exports documentation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant accountancy qualification, possess excellent numeracy skills, and have proven finance experience. Manufacturing or automotive experience is desirable, along with strong people management skills and attention to detail.
