Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Konecranes Demag UK Ltd. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes, as well as troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes and hoists
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and identify root causes
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation through mobile device

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained or equivalent in electrical engineering disciplines
  • Conversant with mechanical and health and safety knowledge
  • Experience maintaining overhead cranes and hoists
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Willingness to work extra hours with paid overtime
  • Current driving license
  • Willingness to work on the On-Call Rota with enhanced premium

Location:

Due to the location of our customers, we anticipate you will be away 30 nights a year (travel, accommodation, and food will be provided).

You Will:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes
  • Trouble-shooting equipment breakdowns
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
  • Complete appropriate documentation through your mobile device

Reporting:

You will report to the Operations Manager.

About the Role:

The role of a Service Technician is within the department of Industrial Service, offering maintenance and service solutions for all crane brands. Your role will involve the maintenance and upgrade of our customers' lifting equipment. The work we offer is varied and two days are never the same.
