About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Water Engineering team at AECOM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and review of structural elements on wastewater and water infrastructure treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and review of structural elements, including water-retaining structures and other water-related assets, from concept through construction.
  • Collaborate with clients and AECOM counterparts to ensure stakeholders buy into solutions and contribute to AECOM's wider technical capability and innovative approach.
  • Produce and review deliverables, including calculations, drawings, and technical reports, to relevant standards and procedures.
  • Take responsibility for delivering projects to agreed budgets, programs, and quality, and support the preparation of project budgets and programs.
  • Seek opportunities to innovate and trial new methods by being inquisitive and forward-thinking.
  • Mentor and delegate tasks, direct and oversee the work of others, and act as a technical mentor to more junior staff.
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Possess a range of structural analysis and design experience, particularly in relation to reinforced concrete and steelwork structures.
  • Experience working in a digital delivery environment using BIM and 3D design tools.
  • Have a membership/working towards membership of a relevant professional institution (ICE or IStructE).
