As a Carpentry Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging carpentry lessons, preparing teaching materials, and supporting students in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Design and deliver carpentry lessons that meet awarding body standards, ensuring a stimulating learning environment for students.
  • Tutorial Support: Provide guidance and support to students, track their progress, and offer constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals.
  • Recruitment and Admissions: Assist in the recruitment process for new students and represent the college at promotional events to showcase our programs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to develop curricula, participate in course reviews, and maintain effective communication with external bodies.
  • Professional Development: Build relationships with industry professionals, engage in personal research, and adhere to college policies to stay up-to-date with best practices.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have relevant qualifications and experience in carpentry instruction. A valid enhanced DBS check is required, and the college offers support for obtaining teaching qualifications if needed.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £27,425 - £40,369 per annum, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. The college provides a supportive environment for professional development and opportunities for career growth. All applicants must undergo a DBS check and provide proof of qualifications.
