A prestigious Further Education institution in the UK is seeking a skilled Carpentry Lecturer to join its permanent team.

About the Role

This full-time position involves delivering engaging carpentry lessons, ensuring alignment with relevant awarding body standards. You will be responsible for preparing teaching materials and administrative tasks, as well as serving as a course tutor and supporting student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality carpentry lessons, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Tutorial Support: Serve as a course tutor, track and record student progress, provide feedback, and support work placement programs.
  • Recruitment and Admissions: Assist in the recruitment and admission of students and represent the College at promotional events.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, contribute to curriculum development, participate in course reviews, and liaise with external bodies.
  • Professional Development: Build industry connections, engage in personal research, and adhere to College policies.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently. A background in education or a related field is essential, along with relevant qualifications and experience in carpentry.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £27,425 - £40,369 per annum, plus benefits including opportunities for professional development and a supportive working environment.
