Job Description
This Logistics Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to join a leading offshore and renewable business in Wallsend.
You will be responsible for overseeing fleet operations, ensuring production runs smoothly and on time. This involves developing and implementing effective fleet management processes, analysing fuel and fleet usage, and identifying areas for improvement.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective fleet management processes to maintain smooth and safe vehicle operation on-site.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule, resolve, and react to any issues that arise.
- Analyse fuel and fleet usage, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise performance.
- Work closely with other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to achieve better results.
- Present cost-saving strategies to stakeholders and make informed decisions based on long-term financial projections.
Person Specification
- Material planning/production planning or logistics coordination background ideal for this role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to seeking out information and solutions.

- Competitive starting salary of £40,500-£45,000 per annum.
