About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Prop Maker to join our team at Wake the Tiger. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for designing and creating props and scenery for our immersive experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and create props and scenery using a range of materials and techniques.
  • Work closely with the creative and production teams to bring designs and ideas to life.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the park's attractions.
  • Experiment with new tools, materials, and methods to find innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of build techniques and ideas for upgrades and development.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of prop making processes, materials, and methods of construction.
  • Competent in a wide variety of scenic methods and finishes, on both small and large scale.
  • Experience of working in a busy workshop with multiple projects at the same time.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines with a calm and productive approach.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
Desirable Skills
  • Trained with various machinery and tools.
  • Knowledge of CAD software.
  • Carpentry skills.
  • Sewing skills.
  • Sculpting skills.
  • Knowledge of moulding and casting methods.
  • Previous experience working in the attractions industry.
  • Previous experience making props within the Film/TV/Theatre industry.
  • Knowledge of health and safety when working with chemicals and familiar with COSHH sheets.
