Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Fire Safety Engineer to join our team at Atlas Recruitment Group Ltd. As a key member of our Safety and Environmental Team, you will be responsible for completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities, risk analysis tasks, and reviewing/producing explosion safety strategies.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global business with a strong presence in the industry. As a Principal Fire Safety Engineer, you will work closely with our team to develop and implement business processes to achieve strategic objectives. You will also mentor junior engineers and less experienced members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities, including hazard identification and analysis
  • Develop and implement explosion safety strategies, including Hazardous Area Classification (HAC)
  • Mentor junior engineers and less experienced team members
  • Collaborate with operational managers, heads of departments, and Health & Safety teams to achieve strategic objectives

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an explosion safety engineering environment and applying various methods of hazard analysis
  • DSEAR risk assessment production experience, including hazard identification and analysis
  • Thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and proven track record in implementing business processes to achieve strategic objectives

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in a STEM discipline
  • Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support) experience
  • Site Asset Protection experience and Fire Safety Engineering experience
