About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our team in NHS Grampian. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality care for older people living with frailty. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our service and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive geriatric assessment and management on our 25-bedded Geriatric Assessment Unit.
  • Participate in a highly functioning multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Develop and implement new areas of working, accommodating special interests and expertise.
  • Contribute to education, research, quality improvement, and service design initiatives within the department.

Requirements

We welcome applicants with higher specialist training leading to CCT or those within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register. Alternatively, candidates with CESR/CESR(CP) qualifications are also encouraged to apply. Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required.
