About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to lead our team in providing high-quality care to older people living with frailty in NHS Grampian. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive geriatric assessment and care plans, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive geriatric assessment and care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development of new areas of working, including community services and hospital at home initiatives
  • Participate in education, research, and quality improvement activities within the department

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in geriatric medicine. The ideal candidate will have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register. Alternatively, applicants with CESR/CESR (CP) qualifications will also be considered.
