We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiology Consultant to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our cardiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide consultant-led cardiology services in the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU)
- Develop pathways for ambulatory care, admission avoidance, and streaming to appropriate services
- Support the general cardiology service and be responsible for the care of patients within cardiology services across UHL
- Supervise, teach, and train junior medical staff and medical students
- Work with colleagues on other sites within UHL to deliver an excellent service
- Undertake high-standard and timely managerial duties (clinical administration) which support clinical care
- Participate in research

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate who:
- Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's Values and Behaviours
- Able to demonstrate a commitment and understanding of the importance of treating all individuals with dignity and respect appropriate to their individual needs
- Has MB BS or Equivalent qualification
- Has Full GMC Registration
- Is Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or will be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date
- Has MRCP / MRCS or equivalent qualification
- Has Current BLS Certification
