Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

We are seeking a PhD researcher to join our team at the University of Cambridge to work on a project in data-driven mechanics. The project aims to develop experimental methods for obtaining large quantities of multi-axial data from a single test, and to develop computational methods that can deal with measurement noise.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, physics, or a related subject, and a strong interest in multi-physics modelling and/or experimental methods. The researcher will work alongside post-doctoral associates and partner universities in the US to develop a data-driven material model discovery technique.

The project is open to both home and overseas applicants, and the University actively supports equality, diversity, and inclusion. Applicants should submit a CHRIS6 coversheet, a two-page CV, and a cover letter to Hilde Hambro.

The researcher will have the opportunity to work on a project that has the potential to make a significant impact in the field of data-driven mechanics.
