We are seeking a passionate and experienced EHCP Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Novax Recruitment. As an EHCP Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities by managing the Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- EHCP Coordination: Manage the EHCP process, ensuring timely and effective implementation of plans.
- Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, families, and professionals to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
- Case Management: Coordinate and manage multiple cases, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Knowledge and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with SEND legislation, local authority processes, and best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality service delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the SEND Team to ensure effective coordination and support of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in coordinating EHCPs or working within a SEND-related role in an educational, health, or social care setting.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, education, health, and care legislation, and local authority processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and sensitively to a diverse audience.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
- Empathy and Compassion: A commitment to supporting the needs of children and young people with SEND, and the ability to work empathetically with families and professionals.
