About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced equestrian to join our busy yard, Manor Stables as an Assistant Yard Supervisor. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the yard including yard tasks, ensuring the fitness of the horses and ponies, and supervising and instructing students in practical tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BHS Stage 2 Teach or similar qualification, and a level 3 Equine management qualification or similar. They must be able to train and produce horses to the highest standard.

This role requires flexibility, with hours worked over 2 days (19 hours) or 4 days (39 hours). You will need to be available on a rota basis including one weekend day.

Benefits include own horse welcome at reduced livery rate, subject to suitability, and on-site accommodation.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (estimated)

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in equestrian management and training
  • BHS Stage 2 Teach or similar qualification
  • Level 3 Equine management qualification or similar
  • Ability to work flexibly according to course and yard requirements
  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate students
