We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Surfacing Operative to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality road surfacing services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Operate various types of plant and equipment associated with road surfacing, including pavers, rollers, tractors, and chippers.
- Work with hot coated materials on site and operate plant as required.
- Lay coated materials in accordance with specifications and to British Standard tolerances.
- Perform day-to-day maintenance of plant and equipment, maintaining high levels of housekeeping and safety standards.
- Contribute to a culture of zero harm and behavioral safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety measures and encouraging others to do the same.
- Proven experience working in the road surfacing industry, with a strong background in highways, motorways, airfields, and A roads.
- Hold a CSCS card (desirable).
- Experience in asphalts and road laying, with a strong understanding of plant and equipment operation.
- Relevant plant tickets and experience in project work, ideally on motorways.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated and flexible, with a strong commitment to health and safety.
- Valid UK driving license.
