About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior CloudOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Apexon. As a critical member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based platforms.

With expertise in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and automation, you will design, deploy, monitor, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as S3, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm charts, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies. This role requires excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration abilities to work in cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Develop and maintain automated infrastructure deployment processes using Terraform and Helm charts.
  • Manage and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments and fast delivery cycles.
  • Administer, tune, and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, and DynamoDB.
  • Implement and manage authentication/authorization systems using tools like Keycloak.
  • Set up monitoring systems to detect and resolve infrastructure issues proactively.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services like S3, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • 5+ years of experience with Terraform and Helm charts for Infrastructure as Code.
  • 5+ years of experience managing containerized applications with Kubernetes.
  • Strong experience with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Elasticsearch, Redis, DynamoDB) databases.
  • Expertise with Docker for containerization.
  • Advanced Unix/Linux command-line and scripting skills.

Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum based on location and experience.
